About Us - What & Why
What we do
Covering East Dorset we are here to help and support people living with & affected by Parkinson’s. This means that anyone - spouses, partners, carers, families affected by Parkinson’s can benefit from all of our activities, meetings and therapies.
We have a dedicated welcoming team for new members at our meetings to look after you and explain anything, so please don't delay in getting in touch to see how we can help you - you'll be in good hands.
The first step is to either contact one of our team on 07707 710058 or via the contact form on this link, or to just come along to one of the meetings. Please note that some of our therapies/lunches needed to be booked in advance or for you to have been assessed, so please check the requirements beforehand. If you contact uis beforehand, we can then answer any questions you may have and send you the latest details of upcoming activities/therapies etc, including what you may need to do to join in.
Why we do it
We aim to give our members access to Parkinson’s Links through:
• Providing friendship, support & activities that people affected by Parkinson’s have told us they need to stay in control
• Working in partnership with other organisations to provide that support
• Signposting our members to information, support & services available.
